Cold-Pressed Kashmiri Walnut Oil | 200ml
Cold-Pressed Kashmiri Walnut Oil
Cold-pressed from Kashmiri walnuts — golden amber, rich and nutty. 10.4g omega-3 ALA per 100g. Never cook with it.
Golden amber, rich nutty aroma — cold pressed from Kashmiri walnuts grown in Kupwara, Shopian, and Pulwama. One rule: do not cook with it. Heat destroys the omega-3 — drizzle over salads, pour over cooked food, or use it on your hair.
Naturally rich in ALA omega-3. Drizzle cold on salads, pour on bread, mix into dips — never into a hot pan.
Rich in healthy unsaturated fats — pour on your salad instead of vegetable oil. The nutty flavour is strong: a tablespoon transforms a simple dish.
Apply to dry hair ends, leave 20 minutes, wash out. Softens split ends and adds lustre without weighing down. Traditional Kashmiri conditioning used for generations.
Heat destroys omega-3 and creates harmful compounds. Pour over cooked food, never into a hot pan. Store with cap tight in a cool dark place — turns rancid faster than other oils.
Why it works
Omega-3 helps balance what most Indian diets lack
- Omega-3 helps reduce bad cholesterol. It works against the inflammatory effect of too much omega-6.
- Including walnut oil in your diet helps increase omega-3 intake as part of a balanced dietary pattern.
- The PREDIMED study followed thousands of people eating walnuts regularly — their heart outcomes were significantly better. Walnut oil carries the same omega-3 and antioxidant profile.
Omega-3 — the main fat your brain is made of
- Your body converts the omega-3 in walnut oil into DHA — the main fat your brain is made of.
- The conversion takes time. Using walnut oil daily over weeks matters more than using a lot at once.
- Most Indian diets are low in omega-3. Walnut oil is one of the best plant-based sources.
ALA omega-3 and oleic acid — the two fats your skin barrier builds itself from.
- The skin-barrier fat in walnut oil helps keep your skin from drying out and getting irritated.
- Used on damp skin, walnut oil is a lighter option than almond oil.
- Walnut oil contains healthy fats that support the body's natural inflammatory response, which may reflect in overall skin quality over time.
The omega-3 in walnut oil works on skin and scalp, not just internally.
- Applied topically, walnut oil can help moisturise the scalp and may support scalp health. Massage into scalp, leave 30 minutes, wash out. Do this 2× per week.
- For skin, the linoleic acid in walnut oil helps restore the skin's lipid barrier — particularly effective for dry, flaky, or eczema-prone skin. A few drops on damp skin absorbs in 5–7 minutes.
- Vitamin E in walnut oil acts as an antioxidant and helps support healthy-looking skin with regular use.

Drizzle over salad, dal, or roasted vegetables after cooking. The walnut flavour is richer than olive oil. Your meals taste noticeably better — and you're eating 1.45g of omega-3 per tablespoon.
Adding 1–2 tbsp walnut oil daily helps increase omega-3 intake as part of a balanced diet. Regular use contributes to a healthier balance of dietary fats over time.
LDL oxidation and inflammatory markers respond to consistent omega-3 intake over 90 days. This is the timeline used in cardiovascular studies. Effects don't happen in a week.
Is this for you?
How to use it
Best unheated. Drizzle over salads, grains, soups, or roasted vegetables after cooking.
Add after removing from heat. 1–2 tbsp over pasta, dal, or stir-fry. The walnut smell is distinctive.
Store in the fridge after opening. Oil that smells bitter or sour has gone rancid — don't use it.
Warm 1 tbsp of walnut oil between your palms. Massage into scalp for 2–3 minutes. Work through hair to the ends. Leave for 30 minutes (or overnight with a shower cap). Wash out with shampoo. Do this 2× per week for best results.
